Fasten off. Weave in tail.

Edge of neck warmer: Make 1 row of sc of the same color you chose for the granny triangles on each end of the neck warmer. Fasten off and weave in tail. Sew each granny triangle to corresponding end of neck warmer with matching color yarn. Fasten off.
You can leave as is or you can make two tassels to keep ends pointed and avoid curl-up.

To make a simple tassel, cut a piece of cardboard a little bit larger than the length you want your tassels to be. Wind the amount of yarn you would like around the cardboard. Carefully take your bundle of yarn out of the card. Thread a tapestry needle and pass the needle through all the threads in your bundle. Then, using another length of yarn, tie the tassel tightly. Trim your tassels to be of the same size. Use the length of yarn in the tapestry needle to sew the tassel to the granny triangle point. Fasten off.
Or you can use your favorite method of tassel-making and even vary your tassels!

  4. I don't understand row 12 after you sc 68, c 22,skip 20, then the next instructions.

  5. It is very simple, you make your 68 sc, then work a chain of 22 chains, and skipping the number of stitches mentioned, you attach that chain to the other side of the stitches you just skipped with a new sc and continue down the row with sc as usual. This way, you have effectively make a "slash" in the crocheted fabric through which you will be inserting the other side of your neck warmer for a cozy fit. Hope this clarifies it for you!

  8. On row 12, this is the part that I get confused on....I understand the chain 22, skip 20, but then this part -
1 sc in each of first 9 sc, 1 sc in each ch, 1 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each sc to end of row.-
I don't have that many stitches left in the row...I should only have 93 stitches total per row right?

  9. Never mind, I figured it out. You might want to check your "row 12" pattern instructions. I think some directions from Row 13 got added to Row 12 in error.
Love this neck warmer! Can't wait to finish it!

  10. Thank you so much Jenny! You were right. I have deleted what was left of row 12 and now everything is clear. I love this neckwarmer too. I love the retro look and am planning to make a similar one but am still mulling over the pattern in my mind.
