This is a beautiful collar made in two Contrasting shades of blue, so that it would "match" with some denim garments. Now, you can make it in any color you like, but find a lighter and a darker shade of the same color or you will lose the pretty peak-through effect of the lighter lace over the draker background.

oh thats pretty
ReplyDeleteThank you, Renee! Make one for youerself or for your best friend! Make it in your favorite colors or if you love denim (like I do, do it in the two-toned blues that I suggest), wear it with your favorite turtleneck and enjoy it!

I loe the blue and blue warming collar but the pattern has a mistake and I don't know enough to fix it. Row 3 of the lace says repeat row 1. Row four says repeat row 3 (which is one again). I can't get it to look like the pictures. Any suggestions? Thanks, Carlie
ReplyDeleteHi Carlie, the blue and blue warming collar is composed of two strips of crochet sewn together, a solid piece with a lacy edging, lying beneath a narrower, lighter piece made of spider-web lace, which is see-through and revelas the other color below. It ties around the neck with corkscrew ties. It is pretty simple, really. The row that confuses you is as follows: The row 3 repeats row 1. Butnot to make you have to hunt all the way to the beginning for row 1, row 4 is simply repeating row 3, which really means repeat row 1 again.
ReplyDeleteHope this helps!
