Plum Pudding Scarflet
This is a beautifully simple 1 skein project which made in two sittings! If you have time, you can make it in one day, I had to make it in two. If you are compiling a list of quick Holiday gifts, this one should be in it!
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Plum Pudding (1 skein)
Crochet hook size H
Blunt needle
Scissors
Note- Ch 3 stands for first dc or row. Ch 4, stands for 1st tr of row.
Side #1-
Ch 24.
Row 1- 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each ch across. (22 dc) Ch 4, turn.
Row 2- 1 tr in each dc across. (22 tr) Ch 3, turn.
Row 3- 1 dc in each of next 3 tr, ch 2, skip 2 tr, 3 dc in next tr, ch 1, skip 2 tr, 1 dc in each of next 4 tr, ch 2, skip next 2 tr, 3 dc in next tr,
ch 1, skip 2 tr, 1 dc in each of last 4 tr. Ch 3, turn.
Row 4- 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, ch 1, skip till first ch of ch-2 sp, 3 dc in that ch, ch 2, skip next ch, 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, ch 2, skip till first ch of next ch-2 sp, 3 dc in that ch, ch 1, skip till next dc, 1 dc in that dc, 1 dc in each dc till end of row. Ch 3, turn.
Row 5- 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, skip ch, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, 1 dc in each of next 2 ch, 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, 1 dc in each of next 2 ch, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, skip next ch, 1 dc in each of last 4 dc. (22 dc) Ch 4, turn.
Row 6- 1 tr in each dc across. (22 tr) Ch 3, turn.
Rows 7 to 14- Rep rows 3 to 6, alternately, ending with a tr row. Ch 3, turn.
Row 15- 1 dc in each tr across. Ch 4, turn.
Row 16- 1 tr in each of next 5 dc, ch 10, skip 10 dc, 1 tr in each of last 6 dc. (Keyhole made.) Ch 3, turn.
Row 17- 1 dc in each tr and in each ch across. (22 dc) Ch 4, turn.
Rows 18 to 25- Alternate 1 tr row and 1 dc row, ending with 1 dc row. Fasten off, weave in tail.
Side #2-
Ch 24.

Row 6- 1 tr in each dc across. (22 tr) Ch 3, turn.
Rows 7 to 14- Rep rows 3 to 6, alternately, ending with a tr row. Ch 3, turn.
Row 15- 1 dc in each tr across. Ch 4, turn.
Row 16- 1 tr in each dc across. Ch 3, turn.
Row 17 to 25, alternate 1 dc row with 1 tr row, ending with 1 dc row. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Weave in all tails, except for the sewing tail. Put both ends together on the wrong side and sew. Fasten off, weave in end.

This is not exactly the same scarflet but a play on colors and stitches to make a nice opposite.
If in your future list of gifts you have two sisters, these two scarflets would be a nice thing to give them. They are a lovely match without an exact "sameness." Often, not even identical twins like to dress alike!
Materials-
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Cherry Red
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Royal
Button of your choice (appropriate size for buttonhole formed by space between 2 tr stitches)
Crochet hook size H
Blunt needle (to weave in ends)
Scissors
Sewing needle
Sewing thread (color of button chosen)
Note- Each ch 3 counts as 1 dc and each ch 4 counts as first tr of row throughout.
With Cherry Red, ch 24.
Row 1- 1 dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. (22 dc) Ch 4, turn.
Row 2- 1 tr in each dc across. (22 tr) Ch 3, turn.
Row 3- 1 dc in each tr across. (22 dc) Ch 4, turn.
Row 4- 1 tr in each dc across. (22 tr) Ch 3, turn.
Row 5- 1 dc in each tr across. (22 dc) Ch 4, turn.
Rows 6 to 36- Alternate 1 dc row and 1 tr row, ending with 1 dc row. (22 sts) Fasten off Cherry Red, weave in tail.
Row 37- Join Royal. Work 1 sc in each of first 9 dc, sc2tog over next 2 dc, 1 sc in each of next 11 dc. (21 sc)
Lace Edge- (Do not work too tightly!)
Row 38- 1 dc in next sc, ch 1, skip 2 sc, *1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in next sc, ch 1, skip 2 sc, 2 dc in next sc, ch 1, skip 2 sc, rep from * across till you reach
last 2 sc, 1 dc in each of last 2 sc. Ch 3, turn.
Row 39- 1 dc in next dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, *1 dc in center ch-1 sp of next shell, ch 1, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, ch 1, rep from * across. Ch 3, turn.
Rows 40 to 49- Rep row 39. Fasten off Royal, weave in tail.
Row 50- Join Royal to opposite edge of Scarflet. Work 1 sc in each of first 9 dc, sc2tog over next 2 dc, 1 sc in each of next 11 dc. (21 sc)
Rows 51 to 61- Rep Lace Edge as done previously.
Weave in all remaining tails and clean up scarflet. Sew button to 11th dc of 3rd row on the right side of scarflet. Fasten off. To button up scarflet, simply
insert button through the tr row that matches the button level on the opposite side of scarflet.
You're done!

This one’s short and straight to the point but lacy enough at the edges to make you feel pretty as you go on your way. An easy scarflet that works up relatively fast and good for gift-giving and for charity projects!
Materials:

Crochet hook size H
Scissors
Blunt needle (to weave in tails)
With Soft Navy, ch 45.
Row 1- 1 hdc in third ch from hook and in each ch across. (43 hdc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 2- 1 hdc in each hdc across. Ch 2, turn. (43 hdc)
Rows 3 to 15- Rep row 2. Ch 2, turn. (43 hdc)
Row 16- 1 hdc in each hdc across. (43 hdc) Ch 2, turn (counts as first hdc of next row).
Row 17 (Working on narrow edge of scarflet)- Make 20 hdc across narrow edge of scarflet. Ch 2, turn. (21 hdc)
Rows 18 to 23- 1 hdc in each hdc across. (21 hdc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 24- 1 hdc in each hdc across. Fasten off Soft Navy and weave in tail.
Row 25- Join Cherry Red. Work 1 hdc in each hdc across. (21 hdc) Ch 2, turn.
Rows 26 to 27- 1 hdc in each hdc across. (21 hdc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 28- 1 hdc in each hdc across. (21 hdc) Ch 4, turn.
Row 29- 1 tr in each of next 4 hdc, ch 11, skip 11 hdc, 1 tr in each of last 5 hdc. (Keyhole made) Ch 3, turn.

Join Soft Navy to opposite side of Scarflet.
Row 37- Ch 2, work 20 hdc across narrow edge of scarflet. (21 hdc) Ch 2, turn.
Rows 38 to 43- 1 hdc in each hdc across. (21 hdc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 44- 1 hdc in each hdc across. Fasten off Soft Navy, weave in tail. (21 hdc)
Row 45- Join Cherry Red. Make 1 hdc in each hdc across. (21 hdc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 46- 1 hdc in each hdc across. (21 hdc) Ch 2, turn.

Plum Pudding Motif
An easy and effective granny square, that works relatively fast and will look great in your next crochet-squares project!
Materials:Red Heart worsted weight variegated yarn Plum Pudding
Crochet hook size H
Square size: 4-1/2" x 4-1/2"
With Plum Pudding and H hook, ch 5, sl st to close ring.
Rnd 1- Ch 3, 2 dc in ring, ch 3, *3 dc in ring, ch 3, rep from * 3 more times, sl st to join rnd.
Rnd 2- Sl st till you reach first ch-3 sp, ch 2, 4dc, 1 hdc in ch sp, skip next dc, 1 sc in next dc, *1 hdc, 4 dc, 1 hdc in next ch sp,
skip next dc, 1 sc in next dc, rep from * around.
Rnd 3- Ch 3, 2 dc in same spot as ch 3, ch 1, skip next 3 sts and work 1 sc in next dc, ch 1, *3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in next sc, ch 1, skip next 4 sts,
1 sc in next stitch, ch 1, rep from *around, end rnd as follows, work 3 dc, ch 2 in same spot as beginning sts, sl st to beginning ch-3 to join rnd.
Rnd 4- Sl st in first 2 sts till you come to next ch-1 sp, ch 3, 1 dc in that space, 1 dc in next sc, 2 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, skiptill you reach next ch-2 sp, work 5 dc in that ch sp, ch 1, *2
