Materials-
Red Heart worsted weight yarn, Coral (about 1/2 skein)
Crochet hook size H
Scissors
Blunt or yarn needle wot weave in tails
With Coral and H hook ch 82.
Row 1- 1 hdc in third ch from hook and in each ch across. (81 hdc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 2- 1 sc in first hdc, 1 tr in next hdc, *1 sc in next sc, 1 tr in next hdc, rep from * across till last 2 sts, 1 sc in each of last 2 sts. (81 sts) Ch 2, turn.
Row 3- 1 hdc in each st across. (81 hdc) Ch 1, turn (Counts as first hdc of next row, throughout).
Row2 4 to 7- Rep rows 2 and 3. (81 sts)
Row 8- 1 sc in each hdc across. (81 sc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 9- 1 hdc in each of next 11 sts, ch 12, skip 12 sts, 1 hdc in next st and in each st till end of row. (67 hdc + 12 ch) (Keyhole started) Ch 1, turn.
Row 10- 1 sc in each st and in each ch across. (81 sc) (Keyhole completed) Ch 2, turn.
Row 11- 1 hdc in each st across. (81 hdc)
Rows 12 to 14- Rep rows 2 and 3. (81 sts) Ch 2, turn.
Row 15- 1 hdc in each st across.
Fasten off, weave in tails.

ReplyDeleteI love this scarf but got to ask if I ch 82 and do a hdc in the 3Rd ch from hook wouldn't that make 80 sts across the row not 81. I'm confused thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi +Unknown! Kristen is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. You do NOT count the ch 3 as a stitch, that will give you the count, just ignore the turning ch, it is simply a directional sign, like when you turn the corner while driving. In this pattern, it doesn't count as a stitch, it is simply a means to get to the next row. Hope this helps!
