Camille



This beautiful and very easy cowl is embellished with a hyperbolic style flower on the center panel which resembles a camellia, hence the name, Camille. Hope you love it and make one for yourself, for someone you love or for someone in need. Enjoy!


Materials-
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Light Raspberry (1 skein)
Crochet hooks size H and F
Blunt or yarn needle
Scissors
Optional- If you would like to give it a fancy look, you can sew a faux pearl at the center of the flower.


Ch 98.

Row 1- Work 2 dc in third ch from hook, skip 3 chs, * make 1 sc, ch 3 and 2 dc in next ch, skip next 3 ch; rep from * across, end row by skipping to last ch and making 1 sl st there. Ch 2, turn.
Row 2- 2 dc in same spot as final slip stitch of row 1, * in top of next ch 3 work 1 sc, ch 3, 2 dc, rep from * across, end row as follows: work a ch 3, 2 dc in next sc, sl st in top of turning ch.
Rows 3 to 8- Rep row 2.



Center Panel-
We will now work across narrow edge of Cowl.
Row 1- work 18 sc across narrow edge of cowl. (18 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 2 to 17- 1 sc in each sc across. (18 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 18- 1 sc in each sc across. (18 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.

Thread blunt or yarn needle with tail and sew Center Panel to the opposite side of the lace side of Cowl. Fasten off, weave in ends.



Camellia-
With Light Raspberry and F hook, ch 42.
Row 1- 1 dc in 4th chain from hook, 4 dc in next ch, *2 dc in next ch, 4 dc in next ch, rep till end of row.
Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Thread blunt needle with tail and sew Camellia together by curling it around itself as you sew.


Sew Camellia to middle of Center Panel. Fasten off, and weave in tails on back side.
