It is also for those of you who make warm items for charity (I carry you in my heart) because this pattern does not take too long to make and does not consume too much yarn. It is fit for a relative beginner who can follow instructions. Enjoy!
Materials:
Red Heart worsted weight yarn, Paddy Green (1 skein)
Crochet hook size H
Blunt needle
Scissors
Skill- Relatively easy
Size- 7" W x 26" L (circumference)
Chain 25
Row 1- 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, skip 1 ch, 2 dc in next ch, rep across, 1 dc in each of last 2 ch. (11 2-dc shells) Ch 4, turn.
Row 2- 1 tr in each stitch across. Ch 3, turn.
Row 3- 1 dc in same spot as ch 3, skip 1 stitch, *2 dc in next st, skip 1 stitch, rep from * across, 1 dc in each of last 2 sts. (11 2-dc shells) Ch 4, turn.
Row 4- 1 tr in each stitch across. Ch 3, turn.
Row 5- Rep 3.
Row 6- Rep row 4.
Rows 7 to 34- Rep rows 3 and 4 alternately. Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew with.
Thread blunt or yarn needle with tail, sew the piece into a tube, weave in end.

This is an easy and short cowl that works up relatively fast. It is lacy and feminine but still cozy.
Skill- Moderately easy
Size- 23" L (circumference) x 6" W
Materials:
Red Heart worsted weight yarn, Carrot (1 skein)
Crochet hook size H
Blunt needle
Scissors
Chain 26 loosely.
Row 1- (Right side): Work 1 sc in second ch from hook, * skip next 2 chs, work 1 shell in next ch as follows: make 5 dc in st indicated, skip next 2 chs, make 1 sc in next ch; rep from * across, work 1 dc in last st of row. Ch 5, turn (counts as 1st dc plus ch 2).
Row 2- Work 1 sc in the center dc of next Shell, ch 2, make 1 dc in next sc, *ch 2, 1 sc in center dc of next Shell, ch 2, 1 dc in next sc; rep from * across. Ch 6, turn (counts as first dc plus ch 3).
Row 3- Make 1 sc in next st, ch 3, 1 dc in next dc, *ch 3, 1 sc in next sc, ch 3, 1 dc in next dc; repeat from *ch 3, 1 sc in next sc, ch 3, 1 dc in next dc; repeat from * across, 1 dc in turning ch. Ch 1, turn.
Row 4- 1 sc in first dc, *ch 2, 1 dc in next sc, ch 2, 1 sc in next dc; repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn.
Row 5- 1 sc in first st, make 1 Shell in next dc, 1 sc in next sc, rep across, 1 sc in last st. Ch 5, turn.
Rows 6 to 53- Repeat Rows 2 to 5 for pattern. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Thread blunt needle with the tail you left, and sew both ends together into a tube, fasten off, weave in tail. Weave in any beginning yarn piece.
