This is a simple but very feminine and lovely scarflet, designed in a beautiful and flattering shade of pink, using a traditional shell lace pattern to form the body of the scarflet, ending with flirty bow ties and a shell edging that just gives it a classy look. You can customize the length to your preference.

Materials-
Red Heart worsted weight yarn, Light Raspberry (1 skein)
Crochet hook size H
Scissors
blunt needle (for weaving in ends)
Skill- Intermediate to Advanced

Lace 1-
Shell Stitch-
With Light Raspeberry and H hoo, ch 27.
Row 1- (Right Side): Work 5 dc in sixth chain from hook, slip next 2 chs, make 1 dc in next ch, *skip next 2 chs, 5 dc in next ch, skip next 2 chs, 1 dc in next ch; repeat from * across. (Mark this row as RIGHT SIDE) Ch 3, turn.
Row 2- Skip first 2 dc if furst shell, work 5-dc shell in next dc, skip last 2 dc, 1 dc in next dc, *skip first 2 dc of next shell, make a 5-dc shell in next dc, skip last dc, 1 dc in next dc, rep from *across. Ch 3, turn.
Rows 3 to 33- Rep row 2. Ch 3, turn.
Side 1-
Keyhole-
Row 1- Work 1 dc in each dc across. (25 dc) Ch 4, turn.
Row 2- 1 tr in each of first 5 dc, ch 11, skip 15 sts, 1 tr in each of last 5 dc (keyhole started), ch 3, turn.
Row 3- 1 dc in each tr and in each ch across. (25 sts) (Keyhole completed) Ch 1, turn.
Bow Tie Section-
Row 1- 1 sc in each of first 7 sts, ch 11, 1 sc in each st till end of row. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 2 to 3- 1 sc in each of first 7 sts, ch 11, 1 sc in each st till end of row. Ch 1, turn.
Row 4- 1 sc in each of first 7 sts, ch 6, work a slip stitch around all 3 chain loops below to form the bow tie, ch 5, 1 sc in each sc till end of row. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 5 to 20- Repeat rows 1 to 4 until you complete 4 bow ties. Ch 1, turn.
Row 21- Rep row 4 in this row ( this will be the ONLY row with a 5-strand Bow Tie). Ch 3, turn.
Shell Edging-
Row 1- Work 4 dc in same spot as ch 3, skip 3 sts, make a 5-dc shell in next stitch, skip 3 sts, 1 sc in next st, skip 2 sts, work 5-dc shell in next chain (working now across last chain of last Bow Tie), skip 2 ch, sl st in next ch, ch 1, skip slip stitch that tied the Bow Tie, slip stitch in next chain, skip 2 chains, work a 5-dc shell in next chain, skip 3 sts, 1 sc in next st, skip 3 sts, 5-dc shell in last stitch of row. Fasten off, weave in tail.
Side 2-
Join yarn.
Row 1- Work 1 dc in each dc across. (25 dc) Ch 4, turn.
Row 2- 1 tr in each stitch across. (25 tr) Ch 3, turn.
Row 3- 1 dc in each tr and in each ch across. (25 sts)

Sunny Side Up Block
This is a relatively easy block which you can use is a variety of ways, to make anything you want.
Materials-
Red Heart worsted weight yarn, Bright Yellow (amount of yarn depends on the project you have)
Crochet hook size H
Scissors
Blunt needle to weave in ends
Skill- Relatively easy
Size- 4 1/2" x 4 1/2' approx.
Ch 5, sl st to join rnd (if you prefer to use a magic ring, follow your usual procedure to do it)
Rnd 1- Ch 5, this will count as first dc, plus a ch 2, [1 dc, ch 2, rep] 7 more times, sl st to join round in top of beginning ch 3.
Rnd 2- Ch 3, 2 dc in first ch space, ch 2, [3 dcin next ch space, ch 2,] rep around, slip st to join rnd.
Rnd 3- Slip st to first chain space, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in that space, [ch 1, 3 dc in next ch space, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in next ch space, ch 1,] rep around. Slip st in top of beginning chain 3 to end round.
Rnd 4- Slip stitch till you reach center chain space of first shell of previous row, work 1 sc in that ch sp, ch 3, [3 c, ch 3, 3 dc in second dc of next 3-dc group, ch 3, 1 sc in center ch-space of next shell, ch 3,] rep around. Slip stitch to join round to beginning single crochet. Fasten off, weave in ends.

Crochet hook size H
Scissors
With Jade and H hook, ch 35.
Row 1- Work 1 sc in 8th chain from hook, ch 2, skip next 2 chs, 1 sc in next ch, *ch 4, skip 2 chs, 1 sc in next ch, ch 2, skip next 2 chs, 1 sc in next ch; repeat from * across to last ch. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2 (Mark as Right Side)- 1 sc in first loop, *5 dc in next loop, 1 sc in next loop; rep from * across. Work 5 dc in last loop and insert hook into ch of loop and work and sc to finish row. Ch 4, turn.
Row 3- 1 sc in first dc of shell, ch 3, skip to last dc of shell, 1 sc in that dc, *ch 4, sc in next dc, ch 3, skip next 3 dc, 1 sc in next dc; repeat from * across to last st, finish row by doing a ch 4, and working 1 sc in top of last stitch. (11 loops) Ch 1, turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 for pattern until piece measures approximately 27 3/4" Long.
Fasten off, leaving a tail long enough to sew the piece into a tube and to weave the remaining tail.
