Kayla


Every woman should have some neutral pieces in her wardrobe, they go with just about anything. Kayla is like that, and it can go from winter to the cooler part of spring with you. If you crochet for charity, this one is easy enough to make a bunch of them. Wear it pretty!

Size- 7" W x 29" L (circumference)
Skill- Relatively easy

Materials-
Red heart worsted weight yarn, Linen (1 skein)
Crochet hook size H
Blunt needle


With Linen and H hook, ch 28.
Row 1- 1 dc in 4th ch from hook and in next ch,  ch 1, skip 1 ch, *work 1 dc in each of next 2 ch, ch 1, skip 1 ch, rep from * across.  Ch 3, turn.
Row 2- (Mark this as Right Side) work 1 dc in next dc, ch 1, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, insert hook in ch 1 in previous row just behind the last 2 dc made, pull up a loop, yarn over and through loop just pulled (Slant Stitch just made), *ch 1, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc,
Slant Stitch, rep from * across, ending row with 2 dc. Ch 3, turn.
Row 3- 1 dc in next dc, ch 1, *1 dc in each of next 2 dc, ch 1, rep from * across, ending row with 1 dc in each of last 2 sts. Ch 3, turn.
Rows 4 to 50-Alternate Rows 2 and 3 for pattern, until the piece measures 29" long. Fasten off, leaving a tail long enough to sew piece into a tube and then weave in what you have left of the tail.
Sew into a tube/ Fasten off, weave in ends.
