Lacy Necktie Too

While revising and remaking the Lacy Necktie pattern of a year ago that has been so popular, I decided to remake the Lacy Necktie a second time, in another color and with a different edging, just to give you guys a new option for this lovely pattern, and here it is. For a girl who works and who likes a neutral palette for her wardrobe or for any woman who likes neutral or earthy colors that go with just about anything, this is a great and still very feminine choice. Hope you like it!

Materials- Worsted weight yarn (color of your choice. I used Red Heart Coffee.)
Size H crochet hook
Blunt needle to weave in ends and sew necktie strap
Scissors

Ch 22.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hk and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (20 dc)
Row 2: 1 sc in each of first 5 dc, ch 5, skip 3 dc, 1 sc in each of next 5 dc, ch 5, skip 3 dc, 1 sc in each of last 4 sc. Ch 3, turn.
Row 3: 1 dc in each of next 2 sc, skip 2 sc, make 7 dc in ch-5 loop, skip 2 sc, 2 dc in next sc, skip 2 sc, 7 dc in next ch-5 loop, skip 2 sc, 1 dc in each of next 2 sc, 1 dc in last sc of row. Ch 3, turn.
Row 4: 1 dc in next 2 dc, ch 3, skip first 3 dc of 7-dc shell, 1 sc in next dc of shell (4th dc of shell), ch 3, skip last 3 dc of shell, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, ch 3, skip first 3 dc of next 7-dc shell, ch 3, 1 sc in 4th dc of shell, ch 3, skip last 3 dc of shell, 1 dc in each of last 3 sts of row. Row 16- 1 dc in next 2 dc, ch 3, skip first 3 dc of 7-dc shell, 1 sc in next dc of shell (4th dc of shell), ch 3, skip last 3 dc of shell, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, ch 3, skip first 3 dc of next 7-dc shell, ch 3, 1 sc in 4th dc of shell, ch 3, skip last 3 dc of shell, 1 dc in each of last 3 sts of row. Ch 3, turn.
Rows 17 to 28- Continue repeating rows 2-5 for pattern, until your necktie measures 14 inches. Ch 3, turn.
Row 29- 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, dc2tog over next 2 ch, 1 dc in next sc, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, dc2tog over next 2 ch, 1 dc in each stitch and ch till end of row. (20 dc)
Row 30- Sc2tog (reduce sc) as follows: draw up a loop in each of next 2 dc, yo, draw up loop through all loops on hook. 1 sc in each of next 16 dc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, Ch 1, turn. (18 sc).
Row 31- Sc2tog over first 2 sc, 1 sc in each sc till last 2 sc, sc2tog voer last 2 sc. Ch 1, turn. (16 sc).
Row 32- Sc2tog over first 2 sc, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, 1 sc in next sc, sc2tog over last 2 sc. (10 sc). Ch 1, turn.
Row 33- 1 sc in each of first 4 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, 1 sc in each of sc to end of row. (9 sc). Ch 1, turn.
Row 34- 1 sc in each of first 3 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, 1 sc in next sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, 1 sc in last sc. (7 sc). Ch 1, turn.

Rows 37 to 54- 1 sc in each sc across. (6 sc) Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew. Bend it inwards towards the wrong side, and, threading blunt needle with leftover tail, sew it to the row above the beginning row (row 36) to form a loop. Weave in end. Join yarn to the other end of the neck warmer.
Opposite side- row 1: Rep row 30 of opposite side.
Row 2: Rep row 31 of opposite side.
Row 3- Rep row 32 of opposite side.
Row 4- Rep row 33 of opposite side.
Row 5- Rep row 34 of opposite side.

Rows 7 to 8- 1 sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. (6 sc)

Row 18- Skip to second ch-sp, 1 dc in that ch space, 1 dc in next dc, 3 dc in next ch sp, 1 dc in next dc, 3 dc in next ch sp, 1 dc in next ch sp, ch 1, 1 dc in last dc of row. Ch 4, turn (counts as first dc and ch 1 of next row.)
Row 19- Skip next ch-sp, 1 dc in next dc, ch 3, skip next 4 dc, [1 dc in next dc, ch 2,] rep 4 times, ch 3, skip next 3 dc, 1 dc in next dc, ch 1, 1 dc in last dc. Fasten off, weave in tail.
Join yarn to the end of the loop you made on opposite side of new warmer.
(Edging Fan)- Row 1: Working on the right side and inserting hook through both thicknesses of edg of loop formed,repeat edging for opposite side of necktie. Fasten off. Weave in tail. Clean up all yarn ends.

Crackle Stitch

I love to try new stitches and alsto to invent some. Over the years, I've been blessed with enough skill to be able to do that, and I've shared what I could along the way. This is one of my stitches. It looks like the kind of stitch you would achive with Tunisian Crochet, but it is made in easy and fast regular crochet. Yet, it has a nice stretch to it, so it would be nice for socks or garments. Nevertheless, because of the rich texture it has, you could very well use it in a sampler-style afghan or to enhance the front of a purse or tote bag. This stitch you be used in blocks, or as an overall, texture stitch in anything you want to make. Try it! It might become one of your favorite stitches.
Materials:
Worsted weight yarn
Size "H" hook

Ch 23.
Row 1: Working in back loops, only, throughout: 1 sc in each ch across. Ch1, turn. (22 sc)
Row 2: 1 sc in 1st sc, 1 sc in next sc, skip next sc, 1 sc in back loop of next sc, in same spot, reach down with the hook into the horizontal loop of the front loop left in the same stitch of the previous row and insert the hook there and pull up a loop, complete an sc.
*1 sc in next sc, skip the next sc, 1 sc in next sc, now in the same spot, reach down to the horizontal bar of the stitch in previous row and pull up a loop, complete sc. Rep from * around. (Count your sts! Make sure you always have 22 across.) If for some reason you have more, skip 1st st as you go across when you repeat row 2, until you have 22, if you have less, unravel and make sure you have enough to make the row.

Rep rows 1 and 2 alternately for stitch.
