Materials-
Red Heart worsted weight yarn, orchid (1 skein)
Crochet hook size H
Blunt needle
Scissors
Measuring tape

With Orchid and h hoo, ch 30.
Row 1- 1 dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 3, turn.
Row 2- 1 sc in 4th dc of row, *ch 3, skip 3 dc, 1 dc in next dc, rep from * across, 1 dc in top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn.
Row 3- Work 3 dc in 1st sc of row, skip ch 3, *1 sc in next sc, ch 2, 3 dc, rep from * across, 1 sc in turning ch.
Row 4- 1 sc in first stitch of row, ch 3 loosely, skip 3 dc, 1 sc in next sc, *ch 3 loosely, skip 3 dc, 1 sc in next stitch, rep from * across. 1 sc in top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn.
Row 5- Rep Row 3.
Row 6-  1 sc in first stitch of row, ch 3 loosely, skip 3 dc, 1 sc in next sc, *ch 3 loosely, skip 3 dc, 1 sc in next stitch, rep from * across. 1 sc in top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn.
Row 7- 1 dc in each ch and in each sc across. Ch 3, turn.
Row 8- Rep Row 2.
Row 9- Rep Row 3.
Row 10- Rep row 4.
Row 11- Rep row 3.
Rep rows 8 to 11 alternately for pattern until yur piece measures 22 1/2 inches, ending with a dc row.
Nape of Neck-
Work 1 treble row. (29 sts) Ch 3, turn.
Work 1 dc row. (29 sts) Ch 4, turn.
Work 1 treble row. (29 sts) Ch 3, turn.
Work 1 dc row. (29 sts) Ch 4, turn.
Work 1 treble row. (29 sts) Ch 3, turn. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Join Cowl by sewing the edge of the last treble row to the edge of the first dc row of project. Fasten off, weave in tail.
