This is the simplest and fastest necktie I've made! (So far. . .) You can make it in one sitting if you are a fast crocheter. I tried to make it attractive but really straightforward. If you love neckties but have never made one because thy intimidate you, start with this one!

Pocket- Still working with Claret- Row 1- Turn the corner and begin to work widthwise. 1 sc in each st across the width of the crocheted necktie (14 sc.)Ch 1, turn. Row 2- 1 sc in each sc across. Ch 3, turn (counts as 1st st.) Rows 3 to 10- 1 dc in each sc across. Ch 3, turn. After last row, fasten off leaving a long tail to sew with. Now join Burgundy to the long part of the necktie (over the Claret side). Edging- With Cherry Red, sc all around the necktie. Be careful when you reach the "pocket", sc only on the outward part of it, not the bottom and make sure you do not "seal it shut" when you sc over it!
